Fran update: just had harrowing conversation with ER vet, who is a Russian version of Spud from Trainspotting, in front of Fran’s X-Rays in which metal shards are visible in gut. He kept saying “vessel” which made me think of Chekov. Every option is terrifying! Thank you for your good wishes, please do whatever you do when you want something good to happen that you can’t actually control. Please please please.
